I play Counter-Strike, I stream, and I built MoyaiDelay because I ran into the same problem every streamer with a real audience runs into.
My CS story
I have been playing Counter-Strike actively since 2014. Over the years I reached FACEIT level 10, hit 5,000 FACEIT Elo in CS:GO and reached 4,000 FACEIT Elo in several seasons of CS2. I stream my games myself, so I know the game and I know what it is like to be on the other side of the camera.
The problem
Playing in front of an audience taught me that stream snipers and chat interaction are two of the biggest opponents a streamer has, and they pull in opposite directions. It is a two-edged sword. You can accept being stream sniped and keep talking to your chat in real time. Or you can add a delay to stay safe and lose that conversation.
The choice would be fine if you could change your mind. You could not. Turning the delay off after a match meant an awkward setup change, and the only way to do it was to stop the stream.
The fix
MoyaiDelay is the tool I wanted to have. You switch the delay on when it matters, switch it off when you want your chat back, and your stream never stops. It can even follow your match on its own, so you can focus on the game instead of on a settings window.
